WordPress and PHP websites
Review the theme, plugins, custom code and hosting dependencies. Unsupported components, expired licences or undocumented changes may need separate repair or development before continuing care is practical.
Care for an existing website
Already have a website? Rovidx can review its setup and agree practical ongoing care, with clear responsibilities for updates, hosting and support. Start with an assessment of what can be maintained and what needs separate work.
Existing website care
You may need help looking after a working site, taking over from a previous developer or establishing who handles updates. Begin with a review of the existing platform and responsibilities before agreeing ongoing work.
Review the theme, plugins, custom code and hosting dependencies. Unsupported components, expired licences or undocumented changes may need separate repair or development before continuing care is practical.
Share the platform, hosting provider and any connected booking, commerce or publishing tools. Support depends on access, dependencies and the changes the platform permits; we confirm fit before accepting the work.
Identify what your staff, current provider and Rovidx will each handle. Keeping an existing host or supplier may be appropriate; moving hosting or replacing the website is a separate decision.
Takeover and onboarding
An inherited website is assessed before a takeover is accepted. The review may identify a manageable care arrangement, separately scoped repairs or a need for staged modernization.
Share its URL, platform, current problems and developer or hosting arrangements. Identify the forms, payments, bookings and other functions that need to keep working.
Establish who controls the domain, hosting, code and accounts, what licences are required and what backup arrangements exist. Arrange credential access securely after the initial inquiry.
Confirm the included work, exclusions, update volume, response arrangements and responsibilities. Existing-site maintenance is quoted after review; assessment, repairs, migration and development are included only if agreed.
Agree testing, backups, rollback and release arrangements before changes to the live site. Document the continuing responsibilities and how your team requests work or escalates a problem.
Coverage and boundaries
The written engagement defines continuing care for your existing site. The published managed-website plan limits and turnaround guidance apply to those plans; they are not automatic terms for a separate maintenance engagement.
Agree which content edits, software updates, backups, SSL, hosting and monitoring are covered, who performs them and how changes are checked. New functionality, integrations, substantial redesigns and work outside that scope require separate agreement.
Response arrangements, monitoring, onsite work and escalation are agreed per engagement. Maintenance does not automatically include 24/7 support, continuous monitoring, emergency recovery or a guaranteed response time.
Confirm ownership, access, handoff and exit terms before work begins. Review existing supplier contracts and any restrictions on transferring code, files, data, licences or hosted services.
Confirm hosting, domains, business email, premium plugins, software licences and third-party subscriptions in the proposal. Migration, repairs and additional work are charged only when approved; no maintenance-only price is implied by the new-website plan prices.
FAQs
We can review an existing site before accepting a takeover. We need to understand the platform, code, hosting, access, dependencies and current provider arrangements. Some sites need separately agreed repairs or modernization before ongoing care can be offered.
Coverage and pricing are agreed after reviewing the site and the work required. There is no published fixed maintenance-only package. The $199 CAD/month Essential and $499 CAD/month Business prices cover new managed websites under their own terms; they are not maintenance-only rates for an inherited site.
Essential allows one active update request and Business allows two; most routine requests under those plans take 2 to 5 business days. A separate maintenance engagement has its own agreed update scope and response arrangements. Those plan limits and turnaround guidance do not automatically apply.
Only if that work is explicitly agreed. Major redesigns, new custom systems, integrations and substantial changes are separately scoped. We can help identify whether continuing care, a targeted development project or a website redesign is the right next step.
For a working site that needs ongoing attention, discuss maintenance. For a change to its design or visitor experience, explore website redesign. A custom plugin or integration belongs in a WordPress development project.
For a new website with hosting and ongoing care bundled together, compare managed website plans. Their published prices, initial commitment, ownership, domain arrangements and update limits remain on the plan page. The NWT website design cost guide explains those terms and the factors behind a scoped quote.
Next step
Choose Website maintenance and hosting in the website inquiry. Include your site URL, platform if known, current provider, what needs attention and who handles updates today. Do not send passwords or sensitive account information. We confirm fit, scope and price before work begins.
